Just found out about this Boll guy and his dungeon siege movie (and other game movies).... Laugh out loud. Fred Durst looks like his soul mate.
Complete opposite of Filmmaker James Rolfe is what came to mind.

Heavy Liquid
Paul Pope: Heavy Liquid.
I'm not sure what to say about this book, but after reading Pope's closing letter I am left wondering where the drawings he gave away made it to, and wanting more from the writer/artist! I would love to have discovered this comic back in the day and been able to at lease have a chance to win... alas i was 9-10 when this book was coming out so it probably would have blown my mind even more than it has, in a bad way? And maybe that's what I'ma getting at, this book blew my mind. I read 100% first, which came after Heavy Liquid, and have found Heavy Liquid to be more to my tastes. Both of the books DEMAND a reread and further research into the design choices. I showed a 70 something year old man (cubist art fan) the Clowns mask on page 23 of book one. He seemed upset about it being in a comic, but Pope pushes the limit what fine art is with his books. And it's good to have odd neighbors.
ANYWAY
I recommend the this book first for the art, second for the design, third for the story. Pope you are a creative man, and one whose work I will always follow. Inspiring.
If you have a link to any links to information/interviews about the creation of this book please let me know in the comments!
